There were 54 circus related articles published in the last year. Last year was about the same and I like this consistency. Circus Science is here to stay!!!!

Know of one I missed? Let me know!

Check HERE for the whole citation list and new for this year i’ve added a link to every single one! Many articles are open access, but not all of them are. For those that are not, you are still able to read their abstracts and if they look like something you have an interest in reading you can access them through an academic institutional subscription or by contacting the lead author.

They include musculoskeletal, injury, social circus, psychology, dramaturgy, sign language for circus instruction and MORE! Take a look and see what’s out there in the literature. This year there was a larger focus on dramaturgy than previous years and the Circus: Arts, Life, and Sciences journal has really been helping work get out there and published in an open access format.

If you are ever wondering where we found our incredible speakers for the Circus Smart Smart Speaker Series we find out speakers straight from the literature or through conference presentations. My goal is to help you access the science in a way that makes the most sense for you so you can apply it to your practice.
